Yesterday was our first wedding for 2010. We arrived in Pauatahanui in streaming sunshine to the Lodge At The Inlet, which looked amazing. From the moment we walked in it was obvious that Dave and Evelyn’s friends and family are wonderfully supportive and caring – the Lodge was already filled with laughing children and smiling relatives helping them get ready for their big day.

Evelyn was a stunning bride, and I have to confess I got a surprise when it turned emerged during the toasts that this gorgeous, tiny blonde girl is also a judo champ! Her now-husband Dave is a cool customer, and Michael and I had so much fun taking photos with him and his group of groomsmen. The bridesmaids were so sweet to us and were probably only upstaged for cuteness by the four adorable flowergirls, one of whom was Dave and Evelyn’s gorgeous daughter Ambryn. At pretty much every stage of the day, Ambryn stole the show with a sweet smile on her face, and it was a perfect way to celebrate their family.

Thanks so much to Evelyn and Dave, and their bridal party, who calmly and without hesitation followed us around a dirty old farm to have their pictures taken. Wishing you all the best for your lives together, and I hope you had the most fabulous day yesterday!

Evelyn was so calm amidst the action as she was getting ready:

Their details were so elegant & simple – beautiful red roses:

I loved this light!

Personally, I think it’s kinda cool to be able to say your wedding photos were taken in a milking shed. Right? Either way, these look amazing! How cool is Dave in this photo?

And his bride looks absolutely amazing:

And finally, the happy couple looking fabulous together:

A beautiful end to a beautiful day – thanks for letting Michael and I be part of it :)
