Yesterday we had a fabulous time shooting Kathryn and Paul’s gorgeous wedding. As I heard Paul’s speech, I knew straight away that he was giving me material for my blog post about the two of them. He recounted the night that they met, and said “we laughed, we danced, we sang.” Those six simple words pretty much sum up their wedding, so it’s incredibly fitting that their relationship has been that way since the beginning. He also spoke about how attracted he was to Kathryn’s warmth, and I’m sure everyone there could see why – the two of them together were so warm, happy, and perfectly suited for one another. A horrible ”summer” day for Wellington’s weather didn’t manage to put a damper on celebrations either – the team from the amazing Pencarrow Lodge made sure that everyone had a wonderful time in the wild & windy conditions which, if anything, made the view from the clifftops at Pencarrow all the more stunning.
We were blown away by the fabulous details Kathryn & Paul had incorporated into their wedding. Flowers Manuela did a superb job with the vintage-style flowers, and Kathryn’s Nadia Couture dress looked wonderful.

Kathryn & Paul opted to have a First Look and see each other before the ceremony for photos – a great idea as their ceremony and reception were at the same venue and this allowed them to spend more time there with their guests. We set up a special little moment in their back yard to see each other for the first time, and Paul was so happy to see his gorgeous bride.

We headed straight to Eastbourne for photos, and because it was raining, we sought a little cover at Wellesley College and shot around their lovely buildings.

Kathryn & Paul chose to have this fantastic taxi as their wedding car, as a very special and personal touch for them.
Our next stop was a gorgeously grungy little street in Eastbourne that, luckily for me, the bridal party was happy to pose in:

We also managed to get a few shots in down at the beach (rocking these amazing umbrellas that Kathryn had bought) before the rain really kicked in.

The rest of the day’s celebrations passed in a whirlwind of laughs, and it was a little bit hard to figure out which pictures to post. Here are a few more wonderful portraits from Pencarrow Lodge, including some of a very brave Kathryn and Paul who stood out in some insane wind for these!

We also set up a photobooth a little later in the night, which was fantastic – the photos from it are brilliant, and we will be posting them soon so that the guests can all relive the craziness they got up to! Here’s a sneak peek:
Many thanks to Kathryn & Paul for allowing us to capture their day – we had a fantastic time!
